Petaling Jaya
Petaling Jaya is a city of the federal territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and located in the Petaling district of Selangor. Being the largest city in Selangor, the city itself has gained its reputation as
a city status. The British first developed the area due to overpopulation in Kuala Lumpur during the year 1952 and has thus increased its growth in terms of population size and geographical importance.
Petaling Jaya has excellent transportation facilities and infrastructure. A few bus companies are in operation there such as the KL Light Rail Transit System - Kelana Jaya Line, which extends slightly into Petaling Jaya.
There are a total of 3 access points to the North-South Expressway. First is via Kota Damansara, second is Damansara, and lastly Subang. Internally, there are also highways such as the Damansara-Puchong Expressway and the Federal Highway.
Some prominent landmarks in Petaling Jaya include the Malaysia's oldest university, "University of Malaya" and the "Kota Darul Ehsan Arch" which act as the boundary between Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya.
