Cebu is one of the major provinces of the island nation of the Philippines. It is surrounded by the Negros Island to the east, Leyte to the west and the Bohol province to the southeast.

Cebu's capital is at Cebu City, considered to be the oldest city in the entire country. The city forms part of the Cebu Metropolitan Area with 4 other neighboring cities including Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City, Talisay City, Danao City and 8 other municipalities. Cebu is served by Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Mactan Island, thirty minutes drive from downtown Cebu City.
Cebu is a well developed province in the country and act as the main strategic center of commerce, trade, education and industry in the central and southern parts of the Philipine archipelago.
