When travelling in economic class, airlines at Changi Airport allows piece of hand luggage or cabin baggage. It should not exceed 7kg in weight, and the total length + breath + height + of the bag should not exceed 115cm. However, the value may vary according to the airlines. Any Liquids, Aerosols and Gels containers that exceeds 100ml should not be kept in your hand luggage. For those that your intend on keeping in the hand luggage, they should all be kept in a sealed resealable bag, and the total volume should not exceed 1 litre. |
Exemptions are made for medications or special dietary item including baby food. Passengers however can continue to purchase products in these forms. They will be placed in tamper-evident bags along with the receipts.
Airlines generally allow a maximum of 20kg for check-in luggage. Please take note that the maximum weight may vary depending on the airline. Excess baggage charges applies for baggage over the maximum weight. Alternatively, you can also choose to air-freight it.
Generally, the following items are not allowed on board.
- Firearms and replicas or toy versions of them
- Knives including Swiss army knives
- Explosives which includes flares and fireworks
- Flammables such as butane, thinner, flammable glue and more
- Poisons which includes, pesticides and insecticides.
- Corrosive substances which includes mercury, drain cleaners
- Infectious substances
- Radioactive substances
