It can always be a problem when during a transit. Needing to plan for things to do, or get really bored from the long wait. This guide is here to help everyone who is transiting through Singapore, with suggested activities to relieve of your boredom. For 2 to 4 hours The easiest way to past the time is to walk around the transit area and browse through the shops. |
Whether you intend to buy the products as gifts or for yourself or even just window shopping, there surely is a wide range of products to look through.
Heading down to the F&B outlets is another good idea to past the time, especially when the transit time is considerably shorter. Get a good meal before heading on to the next plane, or just sit down there with some beverage and spend some time with your notebooks, handheld consoles or just a good old book.
Sometimes, live band performances can be seen performing at the bars and lounges, which can keep you entertained.
There are free internet terminals around the transit areas to keep you occupied for quite some time. It can be a good idea to take the time to send emails to your friends are families about your progress or be blogging about it to your readers. Alternatively, you can always do some leisure surfing or even playing mini flash games.
After a long flight, it may be a good idea to take the time to refresh yourself with a shower at the Transit Hotel, and then perhaps head down to the Oasis Lounge with the free massage chair.
Perhaps, you can also go to the gardens and just enjoy the view of the plants.
For 4 to 6 hours
Unless you intend to sleep through the next flight especially during night flights, it might be a good idea to take a nap to recharge yourself before going onto the next flight.
You can also refresh yourself at the rooftop swimming pool in Terminal 1. Just remember to bring along your swimming gears in your hand luggage if you intend head over to the pool.
For those who don’t mind a good full-body massage within these 4-6 hours, go down to The Rainforest Lounge at Transit Mall West, Level 3 if you are in Terminal 1; The Plaza Premium Lounge at Transit Mall South, Level 3 in Terminal 2; or Ambassador Transit Lounge at Transit Mall, Level 3 in Terminal 3. These locations also provides showering facilities as well as foot reflexology, nail care and gym services.
Chill at the bars and lounges and get some light refreshment while enjoying the ambience and music.
Best of all, just go watch some films at the Movie theatres. The films will keep you entertained for quite some time. They are located at Terminal 1, next to the Food Gallery at Transit Mall East at Level 3; Terminal 2, near the Sunflower Garden at Transit Mall South at Level 3; and Terminal 3, near the Ambassador Transit Lounge at Transit Mall North at Level 3.
More than 5 hours
For long transit times, we suggest doing combination of the above activities.
Otherwise, since you are in Singapore, why not fork out a brief time to take the Singapore City Tour? It will last about 2 hours and you can choose between a Colonial Tour and Cultural Tour. Just head over to the Singapore Visitor Centres located in the 3 Terminals and register for free!
