Bukit Timah Nature Reserve

Despite being bounded by land constraints, Singapore isn’t all high-rise buildings. The city-state is one of the 2 cities that still retains a significant area of primary rainforest with in its bounderies.

The Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, despite covering just 164 hectares of land, it is home to more than 1340 species of flora and fauna, more trees than the whole of North America.

Trek through the reserve through the marked paths, or climb up the Bukit Timah Hill, the highest point in Singapore, just 164 metres above sea level. Remember to look out for exotic birds, monkeys, butterflies, spiders, even lemurs and the strange insect-eating pitcher plant.

  1. I have been to your site a few times now, and this time I am adding it to my bookmarks :) Your pages are always relevant, unlike the same-old stuff on other sites (which are coming off my bookmarks!) Keep it up!
