Water and Electricity

Water

Unless otherwise stated, water from the tap is clean enough to be drank right from it. Some accommodations also provide an electric kettle or a traditional kettle if there’s a kitchen, if you prefer the water to be boiled before consumption.

Alternatively, bottled water can be found in many stores around Singapore which comes in various sizes.

Electricity

Electricity in Singapore runs at 50 cycles per second with voltage of 220-220 volts AC. Most hotels will provide transformers for appliances on different voltages on request.

The power plugs used in Singapore are Type G with 3 squared pins. To avoid incompatibilities and hassle, it is recommended to bring along an adapter.
