Fort Siloso

Fort Siloso was originally constructed in the 1880s by the British to guard the western entrance of Keppel Harbourl. By 1939, the fort was also armed with two 6-inch Mark2 guns and two rapid firing 12-pounder guns. Fort Siloso is the only surviving coastal artillerty batteries out of 12 around Singapore. It later became a concentration camp for Prisoners of War during the Japanese occupation. Fort Siloso was then restored and remains at the western tip of Sentosa island.

Today, it is a military themed attraction as part of the many attractions on Sentosa. Replicas of British soldiers are placed, along with an exhibition of World War II photographs, video clips and more. There is also a display of artilleries from the 17th century right up to World War II.
