Replacing the 25-year-old Musical Fountain show is the new Songs of the Sea. Not only does the show features live cast and captivating music, but also spectacular display of pyrotechnics, water streams and jets, psychedelic laser light and even modern computer imagery on a water screen. The stage is specially constructed using resistant materials, able to withstand fire, strong winds, waves and tides. It is built to look like a kelong, that is a fishing village, being an artpiece by itself, reflecting the region’s culture of fishing villages. The show’s story revolves around a young man who has a beautiful singing voice and his attempt along with a group of sea creatures to break a sleeping spell that had been cast on a princess. |
